here's how the story goes: it was a perfect day in the mushroom kingdom when all of a sudden, bowser comes and rips Mario's heart out of him. now mario is cruel to every mushroom. so, Mario's heart, HP is gonna look for him to turn Mario back to nice Mario. you only start out with being peril (1 HP), because that's you. collect hearts to earn more HP, no upgrade required. the only attack you know is Spin atack. does 1 damage, while also dazes the opposing opponent. later, you will learn heart leech. if you come across a flower in flower fields, and use this, if the game says, Happy heart! then, HP (you) will leech all the flowers hp to restore your hp. but, if you use this against bowser, the game will say Black heart! and you will receive 1 damage. if you panic too much, (depending how much damage you take,) you will get a heart attack! and this lasts outside of battle to. you will know if you get a heart attack if HP says: oooooh, i'm not felling to well... then will make a suffering animation. if you get this status effect, rush to a toad hospital Right away becouse you will lose 1 health every 30 secs. and eventually die and get a game over. HP must look for Mario to give his kindness back.
