This is a fairly simple theme based on the 1974 anime "Space Battleship Yamato" and its 2012 remake "Space Battleship Yamato 2199". It's no masterpiece, but hopefully someone will enjoy it. The toolbar has a red-and-grey color scheme like the eponymous Yamato, while the New Tab background is a screenshot of the Yamato's bridge, straight from the OP of the show, enhanced and enlarged with waifu2x.
I have personally tested the theme on a 1600x900 and 1366x768 monitor with no problems. The New Tab background has a resolution of 2560x1480 (double the size of 1280x720), so any widescreen monitor of a comparable aspect ratio (ideally 16:9) should be sufficient.
A note for Chromebook users: I've noticed the minimize/maximize/close buttons are a very similar shade of grey to the surrounding color, making it difficult to see. I have attempted to remedy this by making these buttons red, but my Chromebook doesn't want to comply. I'm not certain why this happens or if it affects all Chromebooks or not. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I would certainly think this goes without saying, but I may as well play it safe: I do not own Space Battleship Yamato. Leiji Matsumoto does.
