An anime series was announced for its premiere on July 6, 2014 which was completed on December 14, 2014 and its animation was produced by White Fox (Jormungand, Steins; Gate); The series was licensed to the United States, Mexico and Latin America to be distributed and viewed by streaming through the Crunchyroll service. Also a prequel to the manga that is titled Akame Ga Kill! Zero is currently published in the monthly magazine Big Gangan and has the scripts of Takahiro and the drawing by Kei Toru,Esdeath General of the Empire and leader of the special group of assassins "Jäggers" (Hunters). She is a prominent general of the empire characterized by her special ruthless attitude and her methods of torture towards those she considers enemies; but at the same time it contrasts with a special gift of command.
