Princess Peach is a character in Mario's Nintendo video game franchise and the oldest female character in video games. Originally created by Shigeru Miyamoto, Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, who is constantly under attack from Bowser. He often plays the damsel in distress within the series and is the main female character. It is often portrayed as Mario's love interest and has appeared in almost all Mario games to date, with the exception of Super Princess Peach, where he is the main character. He has also appeared in the Mario Party, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros franchises as a playable character.
