The character is a variant of Spider-Man, an alternative version of his romantic interest Gwen Stacy. She resides in the "Earth-65", where, instead of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy was bitten by the radioactive spider, leading her into a career as a Spider-Woman of her world. The character also has to deal with several enemies, including Earth-65 versions of Matt Murdock and Frank Castle. It is represented by hosting a large part of Peter's personality and conflicts, as well as sharing his powers and abilities. Spider-Woman received positive reviews from critics, who applauded his design, which was cited as a popular choice for cosplay, and a feminist perspective.
