Infinite Stratos is a Japanese light novel written by Izuru Yumizuru and illustrated by Okiura. As of April 2011, 7 volumes have been published by Media Factory in the magazine MF Bunko J. A manga series was adapted by Kenji Akahoshi in the Monthly Comic Alive magazine of Media Factory. An adaptation to the anime began to be issued in January 2011 and ended on March 31, 2011. Later on November 25, 2011 an OVA was released.
On April 20, 2013 was officially confirmed the second season that premiered in October 2013 ended in December of the same year, and Overlap announced the launch of a new spin-off manga based on the series under the title IS Sugar & Honey, This one is played by Charlotte Dunois and is of monthly cadence.
