One Piece is a manga written and illustrated by Eiichirō Oda. It began to be published in the Japanese magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump on July 22, 1997. Shueisha publishes the chapters in volumes: the first published on December 24, 1997 and the volume 91 published on December 4, 2018.
On the other hand, Toei Animation performs the anime and airs on Fuji TV from October 20, 1999 which is currently broadcast. Larp Editores licensed the manga in Argentina and later it was retaken by Ivrea. In Spain, the publication was mainly at the hands of Planeta DeAgostini and later passed into the hands of Planeta Cómic, which is currently in charge of its publication; and in Mexico it was published by Editorial Toukan in the beginning and, later, by Panini Comics.3
One Piece is one of the most extensive manga in the history of Shōnen Jump magazine with more than 450 million copies sold worldwide. In the survey conducted by the Japanese Culture Agency on the fifty best animes and sleeves in Japan, One Piece reached number 11.4 The anime has also received several awards. In the ranking published by TV Asahi of 2005 on the 100 best-known animes of all time, based on an online survey in Japan, One Piece reached the number 6.5 position In 2016 it was the tenth longest anime in history.6 7 and the one that has more profits has reported its author holding the Guinness record as the best-selling comic book in history.
