Chevy took the wraps off the first production mid-engine Corvette in the 2-seat sports car’s history, introducing the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The V8-powered Stingray boasts 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque from its redesigned LT2 small block engine, which drives the rear wheels through an 8-speed paddle shift dual clutch automatic transmission. Chevy says the Corvette will be capable of 0-60 mph acceleration of less than 3 seconds when equipped with the Z51 performance package, which bumps maximum horsepower to 495 and peak torque to 470 lb-ft.
